The Good side of Evil
It was five in the evening and everyone held their breath, waiting for the arrival of the witches, ghosts and gypsies. When they did arrive, the cheers from the children and staff greeted them. The witches had decided to put a program for us. The 4th, 5th and 6th grade children danced for the song “Thriller” by Michael Jackson.
Then we had a small fanfare of many interesting games and activities put together for us. They were beanbags, scavenger hunt, face painting, three-legged race, art and craft, counting buttons, and many other very awesome activities. The prizes were chocolates. Everyone immensely enjoyed himself or herself.
After dinner, the 8th and 12th grade students went trick or treating. They wore weird costumes and danced around the school. They got a huge booty of sweets and chocolates from the staff and volunteers of Shanti Bhavan. Over all, Halloween was scary and fun at the same time.
