Graduates Visit Shanti Bhavan

The graduates visit Shanti Bhavan for the first time in two months! They received quite a welcome!

8^th graders hold up their country placards during a United Nations simulation

As part of their Civics class, 8^th graders acted as members of the UN Security Council (UNSC) and discussed policy options for dealing with the Iranian nuclear crisis. Specifically, they debated the pros and cons of military action versus economic sanctions. Although a final resolution was not reached, the students learned about how the UNSC operates and how it attempts to deal with various threats to international security.

Tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade students enjoy a friendly game of basketball against a few of the volunteers- Amit, Rahul, and Sabala. Basketball is a popular activity for older students, and even some of the volunteers, to participate in!
